Before you quote your buyer
Confirm the product is exportable, what certification it needs and whether the destination requires pre-shipment inspection. Exporters working with Bromley Logistics run this check before a price is even quoted, since a certification gap discovered after the sale is agreed is far more expensive to fix than one caught at the quoting stage.
Documentation and declarations
Export entries, certificates of origin, phytosanitary and standards certificates each have their own lead time, and some cannot be expedited regardless of budget.
- Export declaration and supporting invoice set
- Certificate of origin for preference claims
- Phytosanitary or health certification for agricultural goods
- ISPM-15 compliant timber packaging
Packing and protection
Export packing, marking and marine insurance decide whether cargo arrives saleable. A shipment that clears customs but arrives damaged has still failed the buyer, which is why Bromley Logistics treats packing specification as part of the export procedure rather than an afterthought.
Working with your buyer's requirements
Many destination markets add their own layer of import requirements on top of the exporting country's rules. Confirming both sides before the first shipment prevents cargo being held at a border it never should have reached unprepared.
